Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Hosted by the United Irish Societies of San Francisco

 

 

When: Sunday, March 12, 2006

Where: San Francisco, CA. The parade starts at 2nd and Market.

The parade forms up at 11:00a.m., and starts promptly at 11:00 noon.  The route is over a mile long, but is flat and is not hard walking.

 

Organizers estimated there were more than 150,000 participants in the parade, the 153rd annual, spearheaded by United Irish Societies of San Francisco. Among those in the parade were The Rose of Tralee, San Francisco Fire Fighter Bagpipe Band, and Mayor Gavin Newsom.
