Worcester Saint
Patrick's Day Parade March
9th,
2008
Mill Street, Worcester -
The 24th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade celebrates the Irish of Central
Massachusetts, who began settling in the Worcester area as early as 1718. In
1825 Irish immigrants came to Worcester to build the city's canals and roadways,
and the community flourished thereafter. (Noon) 508 755-1855.Our
volunteer committee has been working tirelessly to achieve this celebration of
our Irish American Tradition. May this bring you laughter, lift your spirits
and perhaps bring out the child in all of you.
The Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade
Committee is a non-profit (503c) organization dedicated to a safe, family
oriented parade. We also promote a year round “Parade” presence in other
community events. All of the events we sponsor, including the Parade, are paid
for by individual donations, corporate sponsorship, and fundraising activities
put on by the parade committee. This funding is important, but it takes the hard
work of a 100% volunteer organization to put on the Parade. If you are
interested in joining the Committee, becoming a corporate sponsor or giving a
tax-deductible donation please contact the committee at its above e-mail
address, call Leo Quinn at 508.753.7187 or Wayne Griffin 508.755.1855.Visit our
